In the hustle and bustle of living our lives, we often forget to reflect on—and enjoy—that life while we can. At least that is part of my story. The older I get, the less I have of tomorrow, so today becomes more important. So let’s look at where we are today, reflect on how we got here, and most importantly, enjoy the ride.
I am going to start the trip with some essays about ocean swimming. This would shock my mother, because I hated the water as a child and hid when it came time for swimming lessons. I never properly learned to swim until adulthood, when the pounding of road races proved more than my body could bear forever. They say necessity is the mother of invention. Perhaps necessity also teaches us to abandon old fears as we navigate the adult world.
So here goes.
